Being Imaginative and Creative (My LadyBird Circus) :D

Sometimes the simple pleasures in life are the best. I've spent a lot of time outside today, just appreciating everything. The sky and its vibrant shades of blue and candyfloss clouds. The grass and the trees, emerald and waving softly in the breeze. The flowers that smile at you as you pass by. Today in particular, I've spent a lot of time looking at ladybirds, and while I was looking at them something creative popped into my head :)

My Ladybird Circus.
The ring leader is the biggest ladybird I have ever seen in 17 years of life. He was huge (and I have just decided that he is male but I have no idea why I came to that conclusion). He wanders over leaves, watching his workers to ensure they are all getting on ok. His workers are quite scared of him due to his vast size, and the fact that the spots on his back are rather different, most ladybirds have 7 spots, but this one's are all very close together giving the impression that someone has tried to paint a picture straight onto his back and smudged the paint! He is in a position of power here and he knows it, the others are a tad scared of him, but if any of them had problems he would be on side immediately- he takes care of his workers. But for now he watches them, his white eyes moving with every move they make. And his workers are an interesting bunch. There is a tight-rope walker, he walks over the smallest branches scattered on the floor as though they were simply pavement, he never falters, but shows off to an admiring bunch of friends below him. One is black and white instead of red and black, the others shunned him and laughed at him before, but not anymore, now they admire him as much as they do the tightrope walker, he walks upside down along leaves and gravity doesn't seem to work on him, he does it as naturally as if he were the right way up! and he sleeps the wrong way up too, which has earned him the nickname Bat. The remaining performer, I believe was a monkey of sorts in a past life, he jumps off leaves and branches, and flies through the air before landing gracefully onto another leaf or branch on a different plant. Its like watching a dance routine in the air when he flies, he flutters this way and that, and then lands to an appreciative applause and thanks the crowd. Though there are only 3 performers and one master (so it is a very small circus) they had a captivated audience of ladybirds watching them in awe with their children by their side, so the fact that theyr small ended up really being irrellevant as it was still loved by all.

I'm being serious about what all of these ladybirds were doing, obviously I embellished slightly, and added characters to them all and gave them families and made them almost into a little society! But thats the beauty of being able to use my imagination and be creative, suddenly things that before existed without personalities, have them and the world becomes that little bit more magical. I would suggest the use of imagination and creativity for anyone who needs to smile more, and for those who need a little more magic in their life. The stigma on imagination, is that it is a childrens thing, a childrens past time, respectable adults shouldnt use it because its living in fantasys and fairyland, but I say to anyone no matter what your age, thats utter crap, imagination keeps us sane, it lets us believe in a better life than the one we have created, and provides us with an espcape route when we feel we need one. So go out there now, and get your tickets for the ladybord circus, believe me you wont regret it! :D

Keep Smiling :)
Love, Tutti-Frutti
